Jerome Adesman, MD
Jerome Adesman, MD was a physician and the father of Dr. Peter, Dr. Michael, and Dr. Andrew. A 1954 article in the Journal of Clinical Investigation names Jerome Adesman, MD among the authors of a study of hydrocortisone metabolism. The research team lists affiliations including Sloan-Kettering and Columbia. [F1] [F2] [S1]
Brooklyn College's 2008-2009 annual report names Dr. Jerome and Alice together among commemorative-brick supporters. [S9]

Alice's maiden name was Katzka. A 1950 Brooklyn marriage-license index pairs Alice Katzka with Jerome Adesman, MD. She and Dr. Jerome raised three sons: Dr. Peter, Dr. Michael, and Dr. Andrew. [F2] [F4] [S31]
Alice helped build LaGuardia Community College's early enrollment. The college's institutional history identifies her as director of admissions and credits recruitment under her leadership with broadening the second entering class in September 1972. It also includes a captioned portrait of her. [S3]
In December 1985, the Rhode Island Herald reported that Alice had taken a year's leave from her role overseeing admissions and international students at LaGuardia. She was coordinating a New York Association for New Americans project that helped older refugees find work through language instruction, vocational guidance, and training in Brooklyn and the Bronx. New York and Florida were both part of Dr. Jerome and Alice's family life. [F1]

Peter William Adesman, MD
Dr. Peter is a gastroenterologist whose University of Illinois medical degree dates to 1979. In 2003 he coauthored a published study of sedation across 9,152 endoscopic procedures at a Southern Oregon surgery center. His medical work has its own documentary trail alongside the wine story. Dr. Peter's vineyard biography traces his interest in wine to the mid-1970s. He planted the vineyard with his wife, Robin Miller, MD, in 2013. Dr. Peter and Dr. Robin are the parents of David and Brian Adesman, Esq. [S6] [F2]
A 2011 Oregon Wine Press profile places their move from New York to Oregon in 1991 and describes the monthly blind tastings Dr. Peter hosted. A 2019 feature reports that the vineyard's first commercial harvest supplied the 2016 vintage. [S5] [S7]

Robin Miller, MD, works in internal and integrative medicine. She and Dr. Peter are the parents of David and Brian Adesman, Esq. The Oregon Medical Board records her University of Illinois medical degree in 1979. Her public education work includes books, the health series Is There a Doctor in the House, and interviews for HealthDay. Dance is another part of her life: Peter William Vineyard credits Dr. Robin's dancing as the inspiration for its Dance Series wines, including Robin's Rumba.
