Their story
Dr. Peter is a gastroenterologist whose University of Illinois medical degree dates to 1979. In 2003 he coauthored a published study of sedation across 9,152 endoscopic procedures at a Southern Oregon surgery center. His medical work has its own documentary trail alongside the wine story. Dr. Peter's vineyard biography traces his interest in wine to the mid-1970s. He planted the vineyard with his wife, Robin Miller, MD, in 2013. Dr. Peter and Dr. Robin are the parents of David and Brian Adesman, Esq. [S6] [F2]
A 2011 Oregon Wine Press profile places their move from New York to Oregon in 1991 and describes the monthly blind tastings Dr. Peter hosted. A 2019 feature reports that the vineyard's first commercial harvest supplied the 2016 vintage. [S5] [S7]
